She was weaker when I was there at Veterans' Day. Much moreso during my 10-day Christmas visit, but there were a couple of wonderful days/nights, too

I'm so sorry to hear this. I remember the agony of decision-making after my grandmother had a stroke; it was beyond painful. I was incredibly glad to not be the one with decision-making authority. And while the circumstances of my mother's death were incredibly traumatic to me, part of me is grateful that she went quickly and suddenly, without any of that kind of decision-making being involved.
