I'm not afraid of spiders. I found one crawling on my shirt just now, and it didn't even bother me. It was an outside spider (probably from the organic grapes I was eating) so I walked to the balcony and blew it to the garden

I think this is great actually, I brag about it to my friends! My ex is not afraid of spiders - -amazing! Really. I also distinguish now outside and inside spiders... I told Suzanne that inside spiders were weaker so she worried when we planted one outside rather than kill it. But, it looked more "outside" to me since it was quite well, vigorous.

Most spiders are harmless to humans so you have the right idea. As long as you know which aren't and I know you do.

I think you are also correct that this is a habit, and learned over time.
