I did a 12 day Master Cleanse last Spring and it was awesome. The first 3-4 days were pretty much unbearable, but after that I got this crazy infusion of manic energy, worked out a ton, and felt fantastic. The only bad side effect that persisted through the whole fast - I was totally spacey and had to really concentrate hard to do even simple mental tasks.

I also recommend joining the Yahoo group FastingSupportForum. It's really really helpful, and it has people on a variety of fasts from juice or Master cleanse through to water fasts.

Good luck! *pompom*

Oh wow! I had no idea there was a list! I will definitely check out the Yahoo forum.

You know, I almost did the master cleanse back when you were talking about it. I got as far as buying the ingredients. Don't remember what stopped me.

Anyhow, thanks!

No problem! I would totally be fasting with you if I didn't have this school stuff going on. I could not get my head out of the brain fog the whole time, no matter how great my body felt, and I can't afford to be spacey until...April.

I really like the fasting support group. It's very active, and people are very inspiring and helpful. I appreciate that there are a variety of different fasts represented there.
