Kathy Tyers was a Star Wars writer when I first loved her, but her original trilogy, the Firebird series, is my favorite original sci-fi trilogy of all time. And I just found out there are 2 new ones!! I AM GLEE!! :D :D

Dooood. I almost quit watching Carnivale after that ep where the girl is murdered and then condemned to spend eternity being raped, because holy crap that was brutal. I made it to the end of S1, but I couldn't take any more.

BABYLON. So did I, honestly. I was watching it live then, back in 04 when it was on air. But the Carnivale Apocalypse is SOOOOO AMAAAAZIIIIIING, I had to finish it and I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT omg. Carnivale is highly inspirational to Spn, Daniel Knauf who worked on Carnivale worked on Spn in the early days, and a lot of their myths and lore are the same, and even the special effects and deep meta imagery, like colors, trees, even black eyes - love love love Carnivale. There are only 2 seasons but the second season will BLOW YOUR MIND. And the cinematography - don't even get me started. Epic.
