Final projects post

This is for everyone asking me about my other, more 'regular' projects. We had to design a jacket and pants combo and a swimsuit for finals last week. I'm super super super proud of my jacket, hope you guys like it. :) It's a business style pinstripe with a little Lolita flair, as you do. ;)

LOVE the jacket! The pants came out nice. Side pockets make me crazy. I'm always afraid I've got it pinned backwards and they're gonna be on the outside. Never managed to get back pockets positioned properly on pants. I'm impressed. If I had a waist, I'd really want that jacket.

Also gotta say I watched your icon for a while before finally moving on to the pics :) It's hypnotic!

Thanks!! I love it too, I just wish it fit me. *sigh* For finals we have to draft to the dressform size, and I mean, I can get it on, but it don't close around the girls, know what I mean? ;) I'm hoping to grade the pattern up and make another one for me.

Hee. No idea! Lol. I always want to list this stuff on my etsy store, but then my teachers keep demanding I keep them for school shows, and they just pile up in my closet, and arg, Idk Idk. If I ever do get some stuff listed I'll let y'all know. :)

Srsly, that's AWESOME. And I would buy the hell out of that. I love the colors OMJPINKYAAAAAAY! and the lacing in the back is delightfully quirky, but still totally fits.

(And I agree. The giraffe-print is kickass.)

Yay I'm glad you like it! I wish I had more of that pink, I have just enough for MAYBE 1 more jacket, but it was a fabric scrap I picked up and I don't know if they have any more. Next time I'm there I'll look into it. I think it's perfect with the pinstripe. :)

The suit is just awesome. I would never attempt something so complicated (the most complex thing I've ever done was a Jedi costume, which is a lot easier than you would think), but I love the way it lays and the colors you used, and of course all of the details on the jacket, especially the lacing and the cut.

Eeeee, thanks! I'm still getting used to pants but I love my jacket, I'm really proud of it. :) I've never made a Jedi costume but I've done a lot of Harry Potter and LOTR things so I am very friendly with cloaks. :)

I know nothing about sewing but OMG I'd totally buy that jacket and pants combo and wear it to work ALL THE TIME. It's seriously awesome, and I'm amazed at your talent.
