Honolulu is like L.A. compared to Hilo. But it has the Honolulu Academy of Art, where you can go and sit in the Eastern garden or hang out with that gorgeous wooden carving of Avalokiteshvara or look at the paintings by Diego Rivera! Or you can go to Bishop Museum and get lost in the past. Or go to the Asian Cultural Center and buy Japanese Art supplies. Or go to Iolani Palace and stand in Queen Liliuokalani's room and cry. No, maybe not. Too sad. Or go to the Pagoda Hotel (near Ala Moana) and visit the mose awesome koi I have ever seen. How long do you have to stay there?

How long will I be here? That is an excellent question... I am taking it a couple of weeks at a time, but the plan is that I will be here until December, although I MAY be able to be in Hilo over the summer and still take classes. Everything depends on what is offered or not offered via Distance learning. If I can get enough classes distance learning, I can stay in Hilo. If the classes I need are not offered distance learning (like this semester) than I have to be here.

I know there are tons of things to do here, and I have been taking advantage of some of them, but relying on bus transportation makes things slower, and honestly, I prefer to do things and go places with a friend... Why don't you come out and keep me company? hehehe

Mahalo my dear friend for your thoughts, it was sweet of you to take the time to read and reply... I am feeling better, I was just having a bad day... They DO get better, don't they?

Na'u no,
K
