My birthday week/weekend is winding down, and I'm OK with that. I love having my birthday; I'm not freaking out about getting older, I'm just enjoying getting to see family and all the birthday wishes on Facebook, and when it's over it's kind of nice to settle back into routine.

No really, we just made a dinner roll dough, pinched it into bear-head-sized balls and put them in muffin tins, stuck on tiny balls for the ears, slammed some raisins and half-raisins on there, let it do the second rise like a typical dinner roll, baked, and were awesome. There are things I'd try if we did it again, to make the ears stick better or make them taste better or whatever, but it was only slightly more work than making dinner rolls.

Re: Big church vs. small church vs. introverts:
In my experience, I get a lot less "peopled-out" around people I know and trust, compared to strangers. (Maybe since we know them and how they work, they take less effort to be around?)
My home church is on the upper end for my ideal size of church. Fortunately, the elder board has decided that our next move is to get together a bunch of members to go plant a new one. I think this is ideal. Little congregations are more fun!
