I'm not dead! At least not yet
I've missed you LiveJournal! It's been a ridiculously long time since I've posted anything, much to my regret. But I'm back now with hopefully more frequent updates if real life doesn't hold me back again. So, to get back in the flow of things I'd thought I would make a post about what I've been up to the past year. To start real life:
I spent my summer in Mexico and had a blast despite not speaking a word of Spanish. I was also crushed by the amount of summer homework I had and spent quality time putting it off with friends. I went through three computers (technically it was actually two, but whatever) over the course of the year. One blew up, one stopped working got fixed then stopped working again, and one is a super old version that I am using now until I convince parents to help me buy a new one. I also became a year older, yay! Currently, I'm approaching the end of my first semester as a junior and I'm wondering just what the hell made me think that taking four AP classes would be a good idea. I expected I'd be overloaded, but for a self-admitted procrastinator with five essays and a power point due in the same week I think I might keel over and die. Also, clubs. I've actually started to show school enthusiasm and joined a whole bunch of clubs this year. Which is a lot of fun, but can be exhausting. Basically, besides the past summer, real life has been kicking my ass.
In other news, I've started writing again. It's mostly original stuff set in the universe of a magical prep school that my friends and I created. It's a lot of silly fun and I'm enjoying plotting out character arcs and creating characters and scenes. It's my NaNoWriMo project so I might post some of it up on here after I clean it up. I also have a bunch of fanfic hidden somewhere, but that will probably never see the light of day. Mostly I've been lurking as I get into new fandoms. I'll actually probably be making posts over the course of the next few weeks of what I'm into, so watch out for pic spam and recs.
And that's pretty much all. I lead a very boring life so don't expect any excitement from me. You'll only hear my girlish screams of glee over whatever is my fancy at the moment or moaning about the atrocity that is public education. But I hope you stay anyway!
