OK, this is on hearsay*, because I liked the book enough to not want to be be scarred by the movie, but from I hear, you can safely add The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising (2007) to your list.

Because I was just recently thinking about it, I'll mention A Beautiful Mind, which really wasn't a bad movie, but seemed to have been written by someone who once had dinner with someone who had read the book, based on what the screenwriter could remember from their conversation.

Yeah, the definitely cleaned that one up to make it more presentable, but as it didn't really hurt the movie I didn't think to put it on here.

I must admit to enjoying both the movie and the book Starship Troopers, but yeah, they are largely unrelated to one another. I can say similar things about Dune (either of them).

Jumper is one of my favorite YA boy-novels and I've been unwilling to see the movie for precisely this reason.

I saw the older Dune movie before I read the book. When I finally did read the book, I remember liking the movie better at first. With more matured reading tastes, I'm not sure I'd say that now.

Did you ever read "Reflex" the sequel to "Jumper?"
