Drabble

I decided to write a response to that horrible story that someone posted on my journal a week ago. It's a short drabble, and I think it turned out quite well, please give it a read!!! :-)

Title: The REAL Way Things Turn Out (I'm bad at titles :-/)
Author: taijiya_girl
Rating: G
Summary: The title says it all my friends :-)

Once upon a time, long long after Naraku had been defeated, a carefree and definitely not creepy Shippou was chasing after a very playful five-year-old girl.

“You won’t catch me, Shippou-nii-chan!” she squealed, running as fast as her short legs would carry her.

“Be careful, Haruko-chan,” Shippou admonished in an older-brotherly fashion, and not in a creepy way at all, “If you run too fast you might-”

The words barely left his mouth before Haruko tripped over a rock hidden in the tall grass. Shippou, being the swift fox demon he was, easily caught the girl before she hit the ground.

“You saved me, thank you!” Haruko glowed before taking notice of the man approaching them.

Upon seeing this man, Haruko leapt out of Shippou’s arms and attached herself to the man’s robes, shouting “Daddy’s home, Daddy’s home!” Shippou smiled.

“Hello Miroku, you’re looking especially alive and well today. How did the exorcism go?”

“Why thank you Shippou,” said Miroku, “it went quite well, actually. I was able to help the villagers without the use of my Kazana, which disappeared years ago when we defeated Naraku. That bastard is so very dead right now, isn’t he?” The monk put down his staff and scooped up his lovely daughter.

“Where’s your mother, Haruko?”

“She’s inside with all four of my little brothers and sisters,” she beamed.

Suddenly, a very pregnant Sango, carrying twin babies emerged from the nearby hut.

“Welcome home, Houshi-sama, I made dinner, it’s your favorite!”

So then Shippou, Sango, Miroku, and their five children ate a delicious meal together, and all eight of them were happy and alive and definitely not dead or creepy or anything like that.

And then later on Kagome and Inuyasha joined them from the other side of the well, happily married and alive also.
