Summary: Eh. Had four out of five, didn’t do anything with it for a while and decided it’d be a waste not to finish it.
Reason 1
Hankyung thinks Heechul is beautiful because Heechul is his. It’s not that he technically owns Heechul, far from it. To the normal observer, it would actually seem to be the opposite with Hankyung always running around doing his level best to fulfill Heechul’s latest wish.
But what Hankyung knows he has is a part of Heechul that will never belong to anyone. Heechul may snark at Kyuhyun, drink with Kibum, and spoil Donghae rotten, but it’s Hankyung he curls up into when he’s tired. It’s Hankyung he smiles to, laughs to, sings to, cries to. The world can have its version Kim Heechul. Hankyung doesn’t care because his is the real one.
Reason 2
Hankyung thinks Heechul is beautiful because of all the seeming contradiction the man encompasses. Heechul is loud, everyone knows that. But not many people know after Ryeowook, Heechul is quite possibly the best listener in Super Junior.
If Heechul senses there's something wrong, he will sit you down and force it out of you. He may not be gentle in doing so or particularly kind in dispensing advice, but Hankyung has yet to see someone feel worse after one of those sessions.
Reason 3
Hankyung thinks Heechul is like a storm. A storm that can be very, very violent sometimes. He thinks it’s beautiful anyways because every storm has a center and when you reach it, the peace and quiet is breathtaking. Sometimes said storm can be a loud, raging mess, but when it’s all over and Heechul is nuzzling his way into Hankyung's side, the peace is wonderful.
Reason 4
Heechul is beautiful to Hankyung because his personality has remained unbroken throughout it all. Every other person has become a mixture of polite phrases, (politically correct would be a better term Hankyung thinks) funny jokes, and scripted responses. Heechul is the one that sends everybody scrambling for their cues cards with non sequiturs and controversial comments. Everybody thinks Yesung is the person who gets cut out the most. Little do they know it’s actually Heechul. Kyuhyun had remarked once, that if the producers stopped editing their variety shows, Super Junior would be over the next time Heechul set foot on the floor of a variety.
Reason 5
Heechul is Hankyung’s home just like Hankyung is Heechul’s home and no matter what, Hankyung thinks there’s something beautiful in being able to come back and say, “Honey I’m home.” Even if it earns him a slap on the arm most of the time. It’s worth it for the times he gets not the slap, but a smile and a kiss.
