thank you to everyone for responding to my last entry. I was just trying to point out that through all the years of democratic presidents, they have kind of screwed us over, and that the republicans have basically made everything right again. I know some of you are like "screw you...kerry is better" or "anyone else is better than bush" but that ( Read more... )

Yes that is very true about our Armed Forced supporting Bush. The military met it's yearly quota in April, that is amazing! Infact the entire military is rising the entrance standards because they are having waaaaaay to many people enlisting. They are trying to shrink it back down. They are making everything harder, the ASVAB is a much harder test now and the physical standards are becoming harder. The math portions on the ASVAB are way harder and they are making the weight requirments ever harder, or at least I know they are in the Navy. So I guess Michael Moore is wrong, it is not just stupid losers who enlist in the military. Or maybe he is mad because he could never get accepted himself. Well, considering he is a 400 pound white guy with little education, it would probably be hard for him to meet the standards. The men and women in the Armed Forces have to be smart and dedicated. They are the most disciplined people in the world ( ... )

i enjoyed reading everything you wrote. So no need ot be sorry for the long entry, it just makes your points even more clear for everyone. oooo....i know its a reply, but i think everyone should watch this video. go to www.jibjab.com and click on the picture of bush and kerry....its funny. and it is true, kerry is riding on his damn 3 purple hearts. i bet he was the first one in the damn bunkers when the shots were fired, and he used those 3 tiny injuries to get out of the war, only to go back home and protest. god, it makes no sense to me.

Yah I've seen the video. It is hard to miss Ted Kennedy's fat face at the end. The thing that just pisses me off is that Kerry would actually spit on fellow soliders returning from the war. And I find it funny how he bashes Bush for "just being" in the National Guard when some of our first deployments in Vietnam were National Guard units. And it pissed me off because my uncle was an officer in the National Guard, he almost went to Desert Storm, but his enlistment was over. Just today and yesterday National Guard units in Iraq helped kill 300 bad guys working for Al-Sadar, who is wanted by Iraqi police for mudering a Shiite Muslim leader. Go National Guard!

Funny how Kerry was in Vietnam for 4 months, everyone else served 1 to 2 years.

I too watched his speech. Well, I had to turn it off. I agree, it wasn't very good; I thought Edwards was at least heartfelt. I think I turned it off right when he started the anecdotal bullshit. However, I'm not too impressed by any of Bush's speeches either. If I was going to vote at all, it would be for Nader. Not because I like Nader at all, but more to protest the lack of good choices on the ballot. Not so fast with the military stuff. I have several friends in the military, and their reactions are mixed. Some of them like Bush, some of the don't. I'm not sure what the real ratio is, but I would guess that most are republican. I really don't think Kerry would bring home the troops right away. At most, he has said that he wants to phase out our troops with international troops to lessen our burden. It is more Kerry's plan for health care that I'm concerned about. It doesn't really seem...good.

Actually Kerry's plan in Iraq are not much different from Bush's. Both men said we need to finish the job, but Kerry thinks we can depend of the U.N., even though they have failed at just about everything in the past 30 years.
