A woman never runs away, a woman never hides away in order to survive

As if the stress caused by the finals (which, by the way, are going just fine) was not enough, I got a surprising phone call from my mother yesterday. Since I turn 20 at the end of this month one of my father's old business partners approached my mother with a suggestion of an omiai between me and his son. Yes, an omiai; saying that I was surprised ( Read more... )

Bah. That's lame. Thought that practice was finally starting to die out...

Clearly the answer is for Sakura-chan to beat this guy within an inch of his life, as a warning. Clearly.

It is not as common, but it still happens every now and then and some even prefer to take that route rather than regular dating. *shrugs*

Hahaha. I think that a simple yes or no will be sufficient but thank you for the suggestion, Kiba-kun.

Meh, I call it a cop-out at best. No adventure in it at all.

Any time. I'm something of a fountain of wisdom.

It takes some of the excitement out of it, yes. I definitely prefer to know the person I am marrying - marrying a complete stranger does not sound all too tempting.

*amused smile* I guess I know what fountain to drink from from now on then.

I am certain that you will make quite an impression on the man if you have not already done so by word of mouth. Though I understand that it might distract you a bit from the finals but a bright woman like yourself should not have too many troubles.

Apparently I already have, he seemed very interested in meeting me; when I meet him I must ask what it is that he has heard. Why, thank you for the vote of confidence, Shuiichi-san. *smiles* No, it should not distract me too much from the finals and even if it does I am sure that I can make up for it.

Prideful, I was not aware that it was a trait you had attracted over the past year. Or maybe I should simply say that you are.. less modest.

When it comes to studying and such I have always known what I am competent of and not. Besides, I am growing up, Shuiichi-san. ^_^

How nice of them. Makes me wonder when that practice really is going to die out ... what are we in, the dark ages? Actually, I think I'm lucky my family hasn't popped that one on me yet.

Anyway. Hope it all works out.

I am suspecting that it never will. If it works for some people then who are we to stop them? Let us hope that it will stay that way then. ^_^

Thank you. I am sure that everything will be just fine.
