Yup, sounds like parenting, all right.

Try explaining the situation to the dog.

But they might not be as attentive as cats are.

And I'm fairly certain my cat thinks of our relationship the other way around (she's the mother and I'm the "kitten").

Yes, the dog understands git and he understands the throwing of things, he is pronbbly grateful it was not the throwing of him!
