One Christmas, I'd really like to get together with my friends and do something for other people. I'd like to group all the money together that we'd normally spend on each other and use it to make a family's Christmas happy.
I'm a cornball. That is all.

volunteer at a soup kitchen. Seriously.
Besides... what money are you gonna be using? You have a wedding (and hard enough times of your own) For that matter, what money do I have to be using? None, in fact, but something that is just as valuable, is the time we could lend to such a thing.
Something to think about.

I've done the soup kitchen thing and it's not the same. When my parent's were better off, they took a Christmas where they adopted a family and we got to help pick everything out for them. I guess I miss Operation Santa Claus too. It's just an idea.
This year will be the year of mega DIY.

Doing stuff for those less fortunate makes more sense. They appreciate it.
