Randomness

One Christmas, I'd really like to get together with my friends and do something for other people. I'd like to group all the money together that we'd normally spend on each other and use it to make a family's Christmas happy.

I'm a cornball. That is all.

here's another suggestion:

volunteer at a soup kitchen. Seriously.

Besides... what money are you gonna be using? You have a wedding (and hard enough times of your own) For that matter, what money do I have to be using? None, in fact, but something that is just as valuable, is the time we could lend to such a thing.

Something to think about.

Well I did say "one" Christmas, meaning not this Christmas for that very reason.

I've done the soup kitchen thing and it's not the same. When my parent's were better off, they took a Christmas where they adopted a family and we got to help pick everything out for them. I guess I miss Operation Santa Claus too. It's just an idea.

This year will be the year of mega DIY.

Dude, it's a hawesome idea. You know how much I hate Christmas, mostly because of the overcommercialized piece of crap holiday that it's become in this hopelessly self-obsessed culture that us Americans have become.

Doing stuff for those less fortunate makes more sense. They appreciate it.
