Mmm, such is the life of those with moral convictions. I find that I have quite a large group of very religious friends, but I think it makes the conversations interesting, because we debate, but not in a mean-spirited way.
That's great! I mean, I have no problem with people appreciating a religion of their own desire, but.. When it gets to the point where they no longer have their own individuality, it's so frustrating. We can no longer have a conversation that can be just interesting.
I mean, I've had friends that were religious without being jerks about it. I mean, my best friend is religious. And I do know that in my raw emotional state when I posted, I seemed pretty hostile. Heh. But I really do wish that more people were actually interested in contributing to a debate rather than an angry argument. You know?
You're so lucky. Religions themselves are very fascinating, but only if they're harnessed correctly.
Yeah, definitely understand that. I've met my share of people who are very belligerent when it came to discussing religion, and I don't really understand that. I suppose it is a sensitive subject, and sometimes people just get really heated about the things they believe in!
:( I'm sorry though that you have to deal with things like that. It really stinks, but I hope you find more open people to talk to or maybe the situation gets resolved somehow!
