kansas does indeed suck sometimes. the view out my window isn't terribly different right now. and apparently all the schools in the area have called out, though my long experience in this state wonders why they're wussing out over two or three inches.
Seriously - I was shocked that the schools were all closed. But from what I've heard its because the roads weren't plowed right...so buses couldn't get through or some crud like that, lol.
our city just tends to panic during the first real snowfall. but, it ended up being pretty justified by the end of the day, because some of the roads were utterly un-travelable because the plows didn't start running until midnight last night. (and we're a block from the police and fire stations, so we're on one of the first streets to get plowed.)
btw, what part of the state do you live in? i'm over between Lawrence and Kansas City. (can't remember if i've asked you before or not)
I'm only 30ish minutes from Manhattan, right by Junction City, lol. I live on Fort Riley, so the streets were all plowed right away and are still being plowed ever couple hours or so. But Junction is really bad, the streets are awful.
