Writer's Block: Chatty

I don't text.  I don't even have a cell phone (by choice thank you).  I prefer in person for most situations and people but when I'm being sick and/or antisocial email would be best.

writer's block, text messages, cell phones

When I was living in London in 2002 that was my first experience with texting. I'd never heard of it, I don't think, prior to moving to London. Texting was huge in europe before it became common place in the US. I think it's a pain in the ass having to hit all of those damn buttons just to send a little message. In London people would compose text messages on thier cell's (mobiles in Brit speak) while riding the Tube (no signal in subway) and they'd just be itching to press send upon emerging street level. I even saw phone booths with phones set up specifically for texting rather than voice calls. Now that was odd.

Oh, and for that matter I never owned a cell phone until the last month of 2003 and I only got one then because I was leaving to drive cross country and then move to Hawaii.
