As a nerd, I feel I have a responsability to inform you about the LOTR games. There are actually a few out right now, the two main contendors being The Fellowship of the Ring and the Two Towers. They are developed by different companies. Fellowship has the book license and I think it's for PS2 only. It sucks. Most of it concerns running around doing chores in a Tokienesque setting. Two Towers has the movie license, so the actors are doing the voices, and although it is named after the 2nd movie, it incorporates the first movie as well. It also seamlessly blends in scenes from the movie, making it feel like you're playing the film. It's a glorious hack and slash type of game, and it's made for all three consoles.

This has been your big nerd report.

since the LOTR are on all 3, my choices are free again.

being a cube owner, what are good games for the cube? (i'd get metroid simply on the basis of the old school version)

i'm leaning towards the x-box.
