You know, I don't think the moon ever really cared that it couldn't shine on it's own. There is no inferiority complex between the sun, the stars, or the moon.
Though maybe in the beginning the moon may have wondered why it had no light of its own,
don't you think that the sun who could only shine on its own must've been lonely
just as the stars who could never be seen must've felt sad?
Seeing that, I think the moon just wanted to create a place where everyone could shine together...
so that no one would be lonely or sad anymore. ☆☆
