I don't know when i was last here and i'm only here 'cause i was following a photographer's link and when i looked to see what he was using to post - amazingly, it was LiveJournal. Well, maybe not so amazing as he is a Russian photographer and this LJ is now owned by a Russian ... what? i donno

Oh, that worked pretty well and much larger then i'd anticipated which i hope doesn't give anyone a problem.

This is a small bloom, maybe 1/2 in size and fascinating to shoot. I had no idea it had little gold bubbles along its edges and no idea what they are for.

Do you know about this flower?

Hey, are you still in the Northeast? Enjoying the cool weather? Life here in the bay area continues to be wonderful but rather hot as we're in the midst of a heat wave which is quite unusual: was 93º yesterday and as we're on the bay, its rare when it gets to 80º. Oh well, limbers up the joints.
