[The feed cuts on to Ankh sitting atop the tree-house, looking up at the bubble as always.]

This time Hino Eiji left the bubble for good. He did what he needed to do and moved on. I'm not sure who here knew him or cares period, but I said it.

[he turns to actually look at the SFC now]

I'm not here to be emotional at you. I will ask a question ( Read more... )

Wishes for the future? For people to stop being so annoying and that I finish what I planned to do.

And as for the past...well, I simply don't remember them. That's that.

What is it you planned to do?

Revenge.

That seems to be a running theme with a few of you here.

You don't seem emotional, but if it was someone close I do find it's not entirely unnecessary to have some form of emotion.

Wishes for the future? I have one or two, either of which is rather personal. As for regrets... I'm not sure how I stand in that respect. So I suppose I don't handle regrets at all.

I suppose I should thank you. I was almost worried I did sound emotional.

Heh, that's fine. I find many humans don't take to regrets very well.

Not a bit, it is quite different to be serene than it is to be overcome with emotion.

Humans? I take it you're something beyond such?

I'm far beyond that.

[Pointed look.] Are you all right?

He must have felt because he was satisfied. I can't blame him for that.

Maybe. That doesn't mean you're okay; talk to me, Ankh.

I have nothing to say. I'm not sure what there is to say. I've never dealt with something like this before.

[Sorry, Ankh. Your questions can be answered later, but right now your first remarks leave her with a very important question.]

Have you encountered any evidence that people leave this place due to being willing to leave?

Eiji was special, but that is because his force of will. It's not so much that he knew how to leave, but there were times when he knew it was time to leave and both he and Vatheon accepted this fact and made it so.

...Do you mean he sensed that he was about to leave and made peace with it, or that the coral itself sent him back when he needed to?

I can't be sure. Only idiots would know the answer to something like that.

I don't... want anything.

[His face works briefly as he struggles for words before giving up.]

Can I do anything for you?

There is nothing I need.
