"Religious fanatics falsely accused Jesus Christ of being a drunkard"

I continue to fail at being a productive member of society. I don't remember failing to get a job being this depressing last time around, despite the fact that I was living with my mum at the time and that was not exactly fun. I suppose this time I'm scared I'm going to lose my flat. And then I will cry all over you. All over all of youNeeding ( Read more... )

Oh, this is a very dangerous meme! It was a hard choice, but I'm going to have to go with this Jack/Stephen fic. What happened after Jack woke up? Do they ever have tentacle/merman eggbbs together? These are pressing questions in my life. Now off to catch a plane!

When Jack awoke a second time it was to a faint humming sound; a warm, distracted song that reminded Jack of the coral reefs of the shallows, of the warm waters of the southern seas.

He felt strange, good, and when he moved his tail there was hardly any pain at all. In his surprise he called out, and regretted it when the soft singing cut off instantly. But in the next instant Stephen Maturin was at his side and Jack found he was glad ( ... )

OMG THIS FIC IS AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!STEPHEN MOLESTED JACK'S TAIL WITH HIS TENTACLES! AND JACK ENJOYED IT!!! Poor Stephen being all oblivious to mertail etiquette. I bet he won't make that mistake again. Unless it's on purpose. XD

In conclusion, *NEED MOAR NAO*!!♥♥♥

It was a different thing to have Maturin touch him like this than before when there had been only pain and burning as the doctor had wrapped his fins and stitched and rubbed soothing oils into his skin. It should have been the same, Jack knew this, because Stephen Maturin meant only to heal him. But to Jack it felt like something else entirely.

And Maturin was still there, beside him, with his tentacles hovering over Jack, looking at him for permission.

"I-" Jack began, because how could he explain? "Of course," he sighed. "Please go ahead."

He was a grown merman. He could control himself, no matter how hard it would be with Maturin so close and so very green and handsome in the odd phosphorescence of the cave.

"I will try to be quick," Maturin assured him, and Jack bit his tongue, wanting very much more.

After everything the kind creature had done for him it was infinitely too rude, Jack thought, disgraceful that Jack would think of his saviour this way. But then, a small part of Jack reminded him, Stephen Maturin had said his ( ... )

HAHA!!! I LOVE THIS FIC SO MUCH!!! I think my favorite line was - e could control himself, no matter how hard it would be with Maturin so close and so very green and handsome in the odd phosphorescence of the cave. Oh, Maturin and his green handsome tentacles! You can't blame Jack for being unable to resist him.

I also loved all their time period specific restraint. It transfers over surprisingly well to Mermen and Tentacle Monsters. Can't wait to see if more illicit tail touching occurs!!
