It's sad. I feel as though LJ is dying a slow, painful death. Everyone drifted away to Tumblr and Dreamwidth and no one comments anymore. I shall persevere, though I don't know if I'll renew my paid account here when it comes up again

I am enjoying Grimm except sort of bored already by the 'he cannot tell anyone' storyline because that started back with Superman and has been done to death. Relationship/friendship strain because of necessary secrets, angst, dull. I like when the friends know and help out like in Buffy or Reaper (oh, Reaper, why, why did you have to go?).

On a separate topic, I adore your Erik/Charles profile icon. They are my first non-squick old man couple. Can I ask provenance? I have never had an icon but if that one can be shared, I would like to have it.

I think I don't even notice that aspect of Grimm because my main investment is in Nick and Monroe's relationship, so any "they don't know" storyline is mostly irrelevant to me.

My Erik/Charles icon was made to my specification by cienna. As long as you credit us I don't mind if you use it too.

I have been watching Grimm via iTunes and am only up to the second episode. I was quite frustrated by the way his aunt died before (apparently) telling him anything useful, because I assumed from their need to kill her and what they said in the pilot that she would have something of significance to tell him. I like the way they use the forest to bring a sense of fairy tale to the show. I look forward to more.

I didn't restore my paid account, but don't have anything to put on tumblr, and dread the thought of transferring to Dreamwidth. Ah well.

I'm not keen on going over to Dreamwidth either. I enjoy looking through the pretty on Tumblr but the only thing I really have to contribute are MS Paint Masterpieces, and you can see how amazing those are...
