Is it mostly that it's redder?

That old liquid latex smelled worse than vomit. But the result was full of bacon!

Hmm, good point, I could have brought it down further. These are the sorts of things I forget when I'm actually applying the makeup ;) Thanks for the critique! <3

LOL SDCC. I shopped myself slightly less orange for the copy I have in my coscom gallery.

Also LOL at Wondercon 2007's extra-crispy bacon.

Have you not seen all of the Hachikuro anime?? If so, run don't walk to your nearest TV set or compy!

Hard to tell since the photo isn't as closeup as the others, but I think I like SDCC best too XD

PS: I look so brown next to you in Hachikuro pic - which is weird since I didn't have my makeup with me XD Must have just been the So. Cal sun

That is funny. I just assumed you had makeup on!

This surprises me. Is it just the color contrast? I can make the scar redder or darker or whatever, but I think I like the texture of the most recent attempt.

What do you use to make the scar? Do you have any tutorials up that could help me? I'm cosplaying Zuko in less than a month, and I haven't figured out anything yet. ):

I use liquid latex and scar wax, and I'm sure you can find some tutorials on using stage makeup online, maybe try YouTube for videos. You don't really need both mediums, and so see what's easier for you to pick up in your area, do a quick google search for tips, then experiment.
