 It is 2010. Ten days have passed. It has been hard to gather my thoughts in these last few days. I started the new year by watching the beginning of The Two Towers, as I had closed out the year by watching Fellowship, and on the 3rd I finished the whole trilogy. I watched them all in the extended cut, which was something I don't think I have done

I often look back on my childoood and feel an enormous sense of loss for the simplicity of my friendships and everyday life: running wild with my neighbors during the summer, reading for entire days, never looking beyond the immediate. It was a happy, beautiful time, and I miss it. But just think about the wonderful experiences awaiting you!

*hugs* nostalgia used to affect me so strnogly it actually really got me down... but then i remember that with God the best days are always yet to come, so there are many brighter and better things ahead. :)
