1) I also consider this idea to fall perfectly in the category of professionalism, or, being a professional.
2) It is not only "moving on" component that is important (however crucial) but also "learning the lesson"
3) As in many if not all things, extremes contain danger, do you think being 100% resistant to those hits is a good thing? I personally have no answer =\

2) "Learning the lesson" undoubtedly is a must-have thing, no question about it. I just believe that it's generally less overlooked than the "moving on" component, but still must be kept in mind.

3) I see your point. No clear answer from me either :) However, here comes another developed skill or talent - to know when to stop if you really can't see yourself overcoming the losing streak. Where is that thin line between what you can do if you stand your ground and what you can't do (or don't really need to) - that's the question. Why not name this skill professional too?

interesting, every time I read the post I see it from different angles and different ideas come up =)
I have just realized that the divide between those able to "move on" (reasonable time) and and those who cannot (for whatever reason) is similar to the divide between winners and losers in the relevant US concept.
Anyway, my endless deliberations on this are probably too boring to share, but I liked how this simple question made me think a lot on the topic =) Way to go!)

Indeed, the reason can be in one word "whatever", implying many peculiar things.

By no means are the deliberations of those who deliberate on this seem to me boring, at least to this day. I'm grateful for your participation in collation of ideas.

Тут я всё-таки темы друзей не касаюсь, это другая тема.
Нет, я не сталкивался с тем, что описываю. Я просто это предвижу, потому что это в любом деле встречается рано или поздно.
