James Gordon was finishing off a piece of pizza. He'd folded it over so he could walk with it. For once, he had a night off. ...Of course, he knew what that meant. He scanned the skyline as he walked.
Where was she?
Every time he got a night off-- he swore it was every time without fail-- the Huntress appeared with some warning or concern. Just once-- once-- he'd like to get through a night to himself without her showing up. He'd managed to take his mom out to dinner, which was amazing enough, but he knew-- he just knew-- he wouldn't get to make it to a bar
( ... )
Dalia heard the voice and only ran faster. This wasn't good. At all. She felt her hair slipping out of the ponytail, which had been tucked into the back of her sweater. It fell out and her hair whipped behind her as she ran.
James ran harder. The blond hair made it easier to keep his eye on... her. He gained ground and reached out, trying to grab the woman, using the momentum he had to try and force a sideways movement to the alley wall. He could question her or haul her back to the station once he got her to stop.
Dalia let out a grunt as she felt herself being propelled against the brick wall. Her hair fell in her eyes as she tried to make out the police officer in front of her. She could fight--but she didn't think that would be the best idea. Fighting would indicate she was guilty of something. This--this could be explained...couldn't it?
Pushing the hair out of her eyes, Dalia looked up and at...
James.
She simply stared, open-mouthed, still trying to catch her breath.

It wasn't a suggestion that they stop.
