Picture post! Once again I didn't resize any of these photos and there are a little over 60 photos, just so you know....
Alright, so let's see... where to begin!
Last weekend I went to the wee town of Ayrshire where Culzean Castle is. Hands down probably the coolest castle I've ever been to. Also, my friend Alan's "mum" does the flowers... well, that's what he said at least. The Castle's right on the water so it has super pretty views
It had such cute little pillars all over it
It doesn't look that fancy but the grounds were really cool and the inside was even cooler
Great Wall of Scotland?
Rach, doesn't this remind you of the side of Grandma's house?!?!
Shadow fun with Maggie
Pictures of the flowers for Alan and his mum
I am sooooo good at getting the flag waving, it's a special skill I should put on my resume!
hehehe it's so cute
So we weren't allowed to take pictures inside the castle so I googled some images so you could see how cool it was!
This is the coolest room I have ever been in! It was their like Armoury room and there were 1000s of guns, swords, and knives all put together in a super awesome design that one day I plan on replicating in my castle...
This is the Oval Staircase which is sosososoossoso cool in person, the picture doesn't do it justice!
Ok, so a couple of days later me and my friend Emily saw The Steeples, this band I'm in love with and all of you should be as well at this placed called the Capitol on Sauchiehall Street. Uhmmm they were sosososo good! Although still very kooks-ish they were a little more ska than I was expecting. We chatted with them for a little while before their show and then again after Hutch, who is 18 (guhhhh how is that allowed???) came and talked with us for awhile... Very good times and I'm glad I got to see them before they BLOW up here!!!! These pictures are terrible...
However many days later me and my bb gurlz (Emily and Janelle) went to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum which is about a 2 mile walk from me and is hosting the Kylie exhibit but it wasn't up when I went so I'll have to go back another time!
Anyway, yah, so... there are all these heads hanging from the ceiling (wow that sounds terrible) all making different faces and when you get a good picture it looks like they're just heads floating around having the grandest of times (kinda like the ghosts in Harry Potter... oh I went there). So of course the logical thing for us to do was to imitate these heads... here are the best ones:
Emily:
Janelle:
Me:
The inspiration for mine:
All together now!:
All of the guys
We then went to some Arctic section of the museum and took electro photos of ourselves over the TVs that probably had baby seals dying in them. LAWLZ
Janelle's was totes the best:
Emily's:
Mine was pitiful:
Then we went over to this really weird section that was about some small girl that died at age 7 and was like way tiny for her age. They had a section where you could learn to write like they did in the old days so we wrote
That says "Saremella" which is our celebrity couple name obvs the Sar is from me, Em from Emily and then ella from Janelle... we're pretty awesome.
Then we headed over to the mini museum where right before it was Elvis, cause no museum is complete without an Elvis statue
The mini museum had interactive bits, and here you had to tap your particular car color in a race and I totes won everytime! GOOOOOO green!
This room is SOOOO ridiculous to me! Like there was absolutely no explanation for the giant plane attacking the Elephant. I looked all over for a little note about their connection but there wasn't one, it's totally fucked.
UHMMM way cool but the stupid light ruined it :(
Mad scurry, roight?
We're dumb.
Way pretty organ in the Museum.
Phew, ok fun time at the museum ovaaaah now! This past Saturday me and all the cool kids with Arcadia went over to St. Andrews to do some exploring.
The beach where Chariots of Fire was filmed blah blah who cares?
This is St. Andrews' Cathedral but sadly it's in ruins which actually makes it kind of cooler. I'm pretty much the best photographer alive cause if you notice in the middle there's a little baby steeple in it... BAM I rock
Zoomed in version
St. Rules tower that we climbed up!
Tommy liked himself some golf apparently...
What's left of the Cathedral
SCOTLAANDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
Gangstah ass tomb!!! Don't mess with this guy...
Right, so I said we climbed St. Rule's tower but first I jumped in front of it
Janelle climbing the steps
Are these stairs going up or down? You decide...
The view from the top!
Saremella at the top!
After we climbed, we rolled down the hill, sadly I don't have any pictures of this but there is a video of it up on facebook somewhere and it's actually pretty hilarious! I giggled all the way down!
Once we finished playing we went to St. Andrews' Castle which is also in ruins but is on the water so it's really REALLY pretty
I think the crack kind of looks like Africa. Is it just me?
Shadow fun with Janelle!
This is where they pooped :P teeheheh
I rolled down another hill, this time it was wayyayay too steep and it kind of sucked
ASSSSSSSSS YOUUUUUUU WISSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHH
when I got to the bottom covered in hay we found a tunnel to explore so we went in and somewhat spleunked!
Me and Em made it to the end of these stairs so we did the Rocky climbing the stairs dance!
We're a pretty immature bunch of girls so when we saw these birds and what they were named we had to take pictures...
OH, and St. Andrews is famous for their golf so I took a picture for my pops of the "Old Golf Course"
And finally nearly 2 years ago when Rachel and I first came to Scotland they had this t-shirt I wanted by they didn't have it in my size but at St. Andrews Castle they not only had it in my size but it was only 5 pounds!!! woowoooooooo yayayay you're gonna see me rocking this shirt quite a bit from now on...
YIPPEE!!!
Oh whoops, that night I met up with my friends William and Alan to see The Twilight Sad at the Barfly and whoa were they totally differenty from the last time I saw them. For some reason they were kind of metal-esk so that's a downgrade for them. After the gig we went to this bar called the Variety and met up with William's friend Drew and his friend Craig and then me and the four boys went to the ABC for a couple of hours and had such a good time! It was nice to actually hear a Scottish accent cause everyone I meet is foreign!!
Ok, now I'm REALLY done!!
