I do believe the idea of John Nolan working with animals or Jesse on Wallstreet...well. I think I have fallen in love. I also want to kick John for even thinking of hurting the lovely Jesse, who you portray quite vividly despite how he isn't in it nearly as much as other characters.

...and this is a really bad comment since neurons aren't quite firing right just yet. But this was excellent and I'd love more XP

i loved the contrast between john's life with adam and john's life with jesse. with jesse, i love how you purposefully only included mundane, old married couple conversations between like who needs to cut the grass or change the cat litter. it made john's silly crush on adam--the young, adventurous new employee--that much more relateable. of course john would think about adam like that. he's only been with one man his entire life, it's perfectly normal to want to stray every once and a while. the ending was perfect, by the way, so rarely in fanfic do you have a relationship with "the other guy" that DOES not end up in sex and the character actually STAYS with the safe, comfortable, a simple love he has had all along.

pretty much, i just love how simply you write a story. it's refreshing to see positive jesse/john fics floating around! another job well-done!
