see iI really dislike Thanksgiving.

Pilgrims and Indians, turkeys and yams, family togetherness and warm fireplaces - it all sounds great, and I'm all for it. Giving thanks for all that we have is a perfectly wonderful idea and I think we should do it every day, especially this day.

I've decided to make a new LJ just for Spain - pretty much so that I'll have this one to keep relatively "secret" from my parents/family.

So now I have to think of a name for it, kind of like Katherine's "kobabroad" (I think that's what it is).

I've got to start thinking about this now. It takes me months to do things like this.

Today, Ivy and I braved the concrete elements and journeyed to New York City to obtain visas from the Spanish consulate. Despite much worry and near hyperventilation in choir rehearsal yesterday on my end, all went off more or less without a hitch. It's sad when you think of the start of classes as "the real world." That's how Carolyn and I have been referring to it for the last two weeks during RA training, which lately seems like an exercise in fucked up priorities.
