I, Joshua Harris Cadji, would like to formally apologize to one, Jordan Watkins Duff -- through this world-wide medium -- for ever mocking, razzing, teasing, jeering, heckling or making fun of him over the oft-purported exaggerated effects Japan-to-U.S. jet lag had on his body, mind, spirit and consciousness ( Read more... )

dude the best way to cure your jet lag to go to sleep at normal hours. Stop going to bed at 7pm and getting up at 3am. I dunno if jet lag from Europe is different cause thats the only jet lag I have experienced but I know that experts recommend that you go to bed at normal hours to help you get over it as quickly as possible. Thats my 2 cents on the matter at hand.

haha, well that's the optimal situation. i'd love to go to bed at 11 and wake up at 7 for school, but it's not that easy. i don't choose to go to sleep at 7; i just fall asleep at that time. i'm getting better, though. i went to bed last night at 12.

there are people who have written really calculated solutions to jet lag .. most of which include FORCING yourself to sleep (or even just lay in bed) at normal hours (not the previous country's hours) and drinking lots and lots of water.

my parents went back to the US and they felt a little laggy the next day, but that was all there was. i guess it's different for every person. for you and jordan, it's like triple bypass heart surgery recovery. for others, it's no problem.

simple: your parents weren't in japan as long as me and jordan were.

haha, you've got them all figured out!

they were here for 8 days. you were here for 10 days. not much of a difference. it doesn't take more than a day at the most to get re-adjusted on north america to asia pacific flights. going back is harder, of course, but my parents could still recover in a day.

haha, well, it's obvious. eight days isn't long enough for your body to get used to a different time zone and sleeping times, so my guess is that their bodies were still on pacific time when they got back to vegas, thus leaving them jet leg free. if your parents stayed in japan as long as jordan did -- since you don't believe i was there long enough to incur real jet lag -- then they'd be feeling it. there's a difference between eight days and nine months.

don't worry, my friend...when you get back to vegas, you'll understand. you can't imagine how shitty this japan-to-US jet lag is until you go through it yourself. i'm just now starting to get back to regular sleeping hours, and it's been 10 days.
