So... she'd hung around.
Lost that bet like a fucking boss, hadn't she, but he hadn't kicked Kenzi out today. Maybe it was the breakfast in the tool belt and the sex afterward. Maybe it was just because she wasn't annoying. Brian pulled his Jeep into one of the spots alongside the warehouse and glanced up at the sky. Orange going to grey-- dusk. And there were lights on in the top windows of the building, which either meant that Kenzi was still shacking up, or that she was sloppy about turning shit off when she left.
He killed the engine and knocked open the door with a knee. Time to find out.
The large outer door slid back with a rattle that echoed and Brian took the steps two at a time. "Honey," he called out laughingly, "I'm home!" Hadn't been gone more than a few hours and she'd promised she wouldn't steal anything if he let her stay. Not that he had a lot laying around the house. Certainly not his cash and his TV kinda sucked.
