Pen and ink collection

I photographed my pen and ink collection. Typically, there are three pens missing from the pictures: the red/black Frontier that I got for my 15th birthday, which seems to have vanished off the face of the earth. I fear it has been 'borrowed' and, most likely, broken; the Pilot Pluminx I just got, because it was by the computer and I forgot ( Read more... )

What brands/models are your favorites? I can recognize the tortoiseshell Pelikan, but not the others.

I'm jealous, as always. If it's any consolation, I lost a pen too (my first one, too!) - a Waterman Hemisphere in silver. Sigh.

Black Pelikan M200, Black/green reform 1745 (vintage-ish, a schoolpen from the 70s), and Lamy 2000.

Losing pens really upsets me, especially as I don't know how I lost it. I last saw it in my top drawer when I was living with my Scottish Relatives, hence my thinking they 'borrowed' it, although I've no diea why they would, since a) they don't use fountain pens, and b) it didn't have ink in it, so it wouldn't have written for them. Poor pen.

Oddly enough, I saw a Hemisphere gift set the other day and thought about getting it. Then I didn't because I don't usually like M nibs, which is what it would have had.

I've actually misplaced a vintage Sheaffer pen. I got it at an antique store and I don't even know what model it is (looks kind of like the Balance, but it's by far the shortest of all my pens). I didn't take it out much because the nib had a tendency to leak if the pen was jostled around, so I know it has to be somewhere in my house. I suppose it got lost in the shuffle when I set up my new desk. Still makes me anxious, though.

I'd be anxious, too. The worst, I find, is when I lose the cap of a pen while I'm writing with it. I always find them somewhere among my bedsheets, but it's a nervous few minutes of searching.

I love the look of all your pens together, and your inks. Espeically the nibbed ones. :) It shames me, I only have the one miserable fine-liner.

My pen collecting (or rather, accumulating, since I don't have a specific goal in mind for gathering them, just 'ooh, pretty!') is a curse, and one which threatens to overrun my storage space. I do like to look at them all together, though. I like to think that they're a happy pen-family.

Aww, they look like one. xD I feel that way with my books - sketchbooks, notebooks, reading books. I never have enough space for them but I keep on adding to it, lol.
