I'm still pretty sick, but I'm starting to get better.  My fever broke this morning.  I woke up covered in sweat (the AC until in my room was on 62 degrees).  My throat hurts like ass, but I'm not dizzy anymore.  My throat hurts as bad as it did when I was 13 and had my tonsils removed, and they got infected.  Yeah, so it's pretty insane.  I guess

How old was the little girl? How awful for that family.

I am so paranoid about leaving Summer with any males. I don't know why really. Nothing specific has happened in my family. But it has happened in a friend of my mom's family. Her son was sexually abused when he was 7 by his 19 year old cousin. He became very violent and they could not figure out what was wrong. It was not until that 7 year old little boy tried to do it to another child that they realized something was definitely wrong. It was a very sad situation. Nothing ever happened to the 19 year old.

I hate hearing stories like that about kids. You try to not hover/control/obsess and things like that happen. I'm really glad she is doing something about it rather than just sweeping it under the rug like many families do.

OMG, that poor little girl!! I wonder what her husband thought of that?? So scary!

Early in Justice's school year (I'd say November, maybe?) there was an incident in his classroom where a little girl grabbed his penis under the table. Justice told me immediately after school, and we contacted his teachers & the school's administrators. It turns out that the little girl who did this was sexually abused over the summer by a 17 y/o neighbor. I just thought to myself, Who in their right mind would allow their 5 year old daughter to spend time with a 17 y/o boy? I try not to be judgmental, but it's hard because I knew the mother & little girl personally; I had even watched her daughter on numerous occasions. At times she had told me that J. could come over to play. I'm so glad I never took her up on the offer; I don't feel she makes very responsible decisions.

It's so sad when children are hurt. So, so sad.

That poor girl and her family, it's such a horrible and all too common thing to happen. I hope they get her into therapy and stat, and they all lean on each other right now.
