Sorry I haven't posted or commented. I've been busy for a few days. I'm going to try to read/comment now as much as I can before Jude wakes up ( Read more... )

thanks so much for your support. it means a lot to me. some people always have an opinion of how the 'right' way to handle this is, and they've never been through it first hand. It's really frustrating.

wow, I can't even imagine what y'all are going through! I hope that the higher dosage of meds help! I would never judge and being that I am in the medical field, I see first hand what medications can do to help! I hope the medication along with the acupuncture will help her =)
And I hope Jude feels better soon =)

Man, I don't know how you do it but I bow down to your mommy patience. Considering all the behavioral problems Shaina's had and everything you've tried I think you're absolutely right in trying ritalin/medications. I hope it does, for all of your sakes, it must be so difficult for everyone :-(

I just saw your post in P101 but I'll respond here. I wouldn't worry about Jude's lack of pooping, around that age Will was still 100% on breastmilk and practically stopped pooping...he went over 2 weeks once (which is on the long side, but not unheard of for breastfed babies). As long as he doesn't seem constipated and when he does go it's a normal stool, I don't think it should be an issue. If you're concerned about all the other changes in his behavior I'd still take him in, just to be sure.

aww, thanks. Most days I feel like I'm doing a terrible job with her, even though I really am doing the best I can. It's always nice to get complimented.

I think I'm gonna take Jude in. It's free, so meh, it's not gonna be a waste of money or anything. He's been screaming like he's in pain. Tears and all.

you have to do whatever is right for your children NOT what other people say what's "right". i really have a problem with the overly "crunchy" moms that bash you if you dont cloth diaper and breastfeed until they are 7 years old. i wish you and shaina the best of luck :)

How scary about Shaina!
I'll def keep her in my prayers, all of you, really.
I hope the PT helps, and that further testing shows
new ways to help her.

About Jude, def sounds like an EI. I second your
idea of the ER. He really needs relief, poor guy.

Hang in there, we're all thinking of you.
