ONCE UPON A TIME, THE DOCTOR LANDED THE TARDIS IN THE MIDDLE OF DISNEYWORLD.
ACCIDENTALLY.
And there was moaning and groaning and smiling and laughing and srs discussions about Beauty and the Beast and lots of pointed ignoring of any similarities between the story and their lives and visits to candy shops and UST during the parade of lights.

It's odd, the things that make him fall further in love with her.

Her nerves stage a protest to the cold weather and she shivers against his arm beneath the overhang of some closed bistro.

"What a day to use non waterproof mascara." She jokes, teeth chattering louder than she can speak. Thunder claps a mile away and she jumps like a scared animal.

His jacket is off and around her shoulders in seconds, and her mouth opens to turn down his offering before promptly closing at the warm comfort of his body heat still clinging to the leather.

She grins sheepishly up at him underneath wet strands of hair that stick to her forehead, and her cheeks flush as she worries about her running makeup. Her fingers peek out of his coat sleeves as she wraps her arms around him.

He chuckles like the sun is shining and swipes his thumb beneath her eye. They wait out the storm while she pulls him further and further.

"all the billion highways and the cities at the break of dawn
Well I guess the best that I can do now is pretend that I've done nothing wrong
And dream about a train that's gonna take me back where I belong
Well now the ocean speaks and spits and I can hear it from the interstate" (Bright Eyes, Another Travellin' Song)

There are sins and darkness, all the smaller betrayals that led to the largest one, the end, the fire of time; there is also Thursday, football, stolen cucumber sandwiches, the last slice of pie, the day she does her hair and smells like peroxide and gardenia shampoo for hours. He bathed in blood, metaphorically, and now he bathes in bubblebath that she left in the console room for him, as a hint, after they fell into a pigpen trying to rescue Ethelred the Unready.

"He wasn't ready for us," Rose had punned, badly, covered in filth and laughing her head off ( ... )

She holds the hand that pressed the button.

Oh my God. That line just hit me like a load of bricks and it's so perfect I could cry.

Also, Nine at a Girls Aloud concert hee. I love it.

That is my Cruel line, true. Nine carries so much of that rawness around, I had to do it. It's balanced by the Girls Aloud thing, I think.

Thank you. <3
