I'm really sorry that they're being so difficult. It's not a healthy thing to behave the way I've heard they have. First thing would be to try to communicate better- even if you agree to disagree. Apologies aside, when does the bride and groom get a say in things, ya know?!?

I'm hoping the rest of his family will be of some comfort and assistance. Gossip isn't a thing of grace, if anything it's closer to vice than virtue.
