Not fond of Best Buy right now

So I got a 360 just over a week ago.

On it's 1 week anniversary at home with me, Saturday, I think that I should exchange my game pad for another.  Pressing 'down' on the dpad isn't as responsive as it could be.

But what does Best Buy tell me?  I have to return MY ENTIRE 360 SYSTEM just to get a new game pad.

I would try contacting XBox's customer service before you take anything back. They may be able to work something out with Best Buy, or reimburse you for that content you bought. Maybe?

You're basically just talking about the controller not working right?

The other option you could do is talk to management. Keep working your way up the manager ladder until you get to someone who will do whatever you want to make you go away, lol.

Sucks royally. That's why you should have bought at CompUSA! (Yes, my new job is at a CompUSA).

Seriously, that is way beyond stupid. Any decent game store keeps a spare stock for exchanges like that. Hell, what they should do is take a perfectly good controller from one of their broken units and swap it for your broken controller. It makes no freaking sense that you have to return everything.

Get the store number and the manager's name and write a formal complaint (email even) to Best Buy's corporate office. They cause you trouble, you cause them trouble. :)

the consumerist website www.consumerist.com good place to put a story about how shitty best buy is since its been commonplace to bitch about that store and others like walmart etc, and then they give you advice on how to deal with the assholes etc.
