First, just because I am posting pictures of London, I feel first I should mention that it is absolutely terrible about all the riots going on. My thoughts are with all the people who are suffering over there, and I hope and pray that it all ends soon. /end serious note
Anyhoo, at long last, pic spam! Yaaaayyyyy \o/
The British Museum.
Pretty pretty architecture.
The Queen's Gate, gifted to one of the Queens (forgot which) as a birthday present.
Parliament/Big Ben.
Just Big Ben. So pretttyyyyyy.
Trafalgar Square the day before the premiere.
Tower Bridge.
I forgot the name, but this was being built for the 2012 Summer Olympics--it's basically a city inside a building, and doesn't seem like it's being built for any purpose other than to show off x)
More pretty pretty architecture.
The Italians have the Statue of David. The English have Dave.
Pretty pretty pretty pretty xD
Random artsy shot of the London Eye.
View from the London Eye. So much green, I love it xD
Trafalgar Square the day of the Harry Potter Premiere.
Annnnnd the Trio and JKR on stage!!! Oh, and the producers as well.
Unfortunately, the Trio/JKR kept their backs to where I was standing pretty much the entire time. But on the bright side, there was a screen!
Dan giving his speech.
Dan and Emma hugging, d'awww <3 (This was right after Emma said that Dan was and always will be the perfect Harry, and that he didn't just luck into the part, and he ran over to her and gave her a quick hug and said "Thank you." THEY'RE SO CUTE ADKJF)
Emma giving her speech.
Rupert giving his speech (this was right when he said "Thank you for everything you've done for gingers" or something along those lines, and JKR and Emma were all "YEAH" \o/ xD)
Jo giving her speech alksdjf. I was basically crying at this point orz.
EMMA WHY ARE YOU SUCH A PRETTY LITTLE PRINCESS <33333 orz.
Adorable school kids drawing a statue in the British Museum. SO CUTE.
Parliament.
The London Eye/Aquarium.
Kinda artsy shot of Big Ben and an extremely unhelpful but still cool looking signpost.
The Globe Theatre (technically it's the third Globe since the first two burned down however many years ago orz).
Windsor Castle.
Stonehenge!
The Roman Baths in, appropriately named, Bath.
So this needs a little backstory. Originally, at Kings Cross station, workers had set up a pseudo Platform 9 3/4, with a trolley sticking out of a brick wall so that people could pose and take pictures and be all touristy and what not. Unfortunately, Kings Cross was under construction for the Olympics. This was the solution. Yeah.
Kings Cross/St. Pancras Station.
The entrance to Leadenhall Market, which reportedly was either the inspiration for or used to film part of Diagon Alley! (For anyone who's curious, I'm the short person who sticks out like a sore thumb xD)
Obligatory telephone booth shot.
And more pretty pretty architecture.
And that's that! I hope those weren't too many to go through, haha ^^;;
