No, that is not what I told you. They don't care how many times you take a class, that is not the issue. They will, however, only *replace* a small number of classes in which you got a poor grade with better grades after retaking the class. You can still keep retaking classes you've taken to your heart's content, however past a certain number they will simply be combined into your GPA as per usual, not erasing a poor performance.
And yes. Take trig before Calculas. And it might be benificial to actaully, you know...*LEARN* it. x_x Trig sucks, but you *need* to know that crap to do well in calculas.
Retaking classes would be painful.. mostly I want to make sure my prerequisite classes ( chemistry, calculus, physics, etc. ) are really good b/c I imagine that's what they're looking at when you apply. I just wanna make sure if I don't study enough for one I can redo it and replace it with a better grade. It's not too bad though, the average GPA is like 3.5-3.75 instead of all 4s across the board.

I really hope you aren't planning on retaking that many classes. Just because that would be painful.

I'm not, but its a good thing to know if you have to have a high enough GPA :(
Half of everyone who applied for Optometry school didn't get in last year, though I guess the good news is that many people didn't apply really.
