Lord Peter has rather a substantial role in one of Mercedes Lackey's Elemental wizardry series ... Shadow of the Serpent I believe. He isn't called that, but it's pretty obvious who it is.

I haven't read King's Sherlock Holmes fanfic series, is it any good?

Wow you were quick! I've never heard of that series. Must check it out! I love crossovers! =)

I was hesitant to pick up those books at first, because I'm a H/W shipper and I shudder at the thought of Holmes getting married. But my fears were, relatively, unfounded. I like the dynamic between the two, though Mary Russell can appear as a bit of a Mary Sue at times. The stories are good, and they have a much broader scope than Conan Doyle's stuff. There's stories set in India, San Francisco and Palestine.

that Ms. King got in trouble with the Sayers estate for using that gentleman in the book, alas. I can't find any confirmation for it online, but I've been hearing about said supposed confrontation for years.
