The ground seems only to shake when the monsters are around. Other possibilities are unlikely.

No way! That's crazy! And nothing's caved in or anything, like when you're on the beach and you dig a tunnel but the top becomes too heavy and it all just falls in, like KA-POW, KID, DENIED?

Can't say. Haven't explored the whole city. It's possible it has. If I'm not wrong to begin with.
