Got an email this morning. Friend of a friend died while doing nitrous by himself. Friend, through his grief, makes the observation that he really can't think of more stupid way to die than by trying to get high by yourself. Talk about a statement in irony. So it's been almost a year since I've written anything in here. Oh well. Life changes like that sometimes. Heh. Either that or I just need to learn to back up my Favorites folder for my web browser better in the future, since I'm constantly breaking my computer. *GRIN*

I don't understand why we deny simple pleasures to the ones we love. Do we fear appearing too servile? For that matter, is it possible, in a love relationship, to appear *too* servile? A man once said that's what being in love relationships was all about... service. Sad he had to die for that.

Dinner was chill. I needed Hula's in such a major way, it was theraputic, I'm tellin' you. Hadn't eaten really anything in nearly 24 hours from being all sick and whatnot... was dyin'. Some good ol' fashioned Hula's grub was JUST what the doctor ordered to get me back to normal again. Oh yeah. I live for Mongolian Fire Oil.

... the New Year with a squish? Heh, small, furry imps wreak havoc on plumbing. KIDDING! Actually, plumber said the problem was the toilet, that it's a piece of junk. (Would have said crap, but that'd just have sounded sooo contrived. *grin*) Anyways, so the toilet stopped up and flooded the guest bathroom. Nothing like waking up New Years Day, not having a hang-over to complain about, but rather, a stomach quite upset because of all the *crap* I ate that I don't normally eat. Namely, fudge, toffee, cookies and countless other finger foods that were made available all night long. Blech. I suppose that last margarita probably didn't help much, but hey ( Read more... )

I'm actually at work on New Year's Eve. B O R I N G ! ! ! Oh well, I'll use the time to update a bunch of stuff on my 'puter here an' maybe even rearrange my office a bit. Which reminds me, I forgot (again) to bring in some nails to hang these pictures on the walls. *mutter* I wonder if Static is working today... maybe I'll call him...
