1. Go to this site for my picture; it is from my senior year in high school when I was 17. I am now 23 and soon to be getting my masters degree in library science.

Name: Moriah Miller
When you realized your talent?: When I was in eighth grade I got up in front of everyone at my graduation and sang When You Wish Upon a Star by myself and I was good. My poetry talent I did not realize until I was a senior in college when I looked back at my previous poetry that I had been writing since eighth grade.
Is your talent something you want as a career?: I would love to sing, but I do not think it can be a career unless I went back to school to try to finish my music education degree. I would like to give singing lessons to unprivileged children, be a music director or sing for weddings though. Poetry I do not think is a career either as I just write poetry to express feelings, maybe someday it will become famous.
Anyone you look up to/inspires you?: For singing I look up to groups such as the Boston Pops, King Singers, Robert Shaw Choir, and the list goes on within that genre. For poetry I have always looked up to William Blake.
Favorite band/singer: Band it would have to be U2, Singer I do not really have a favorite right now but as noted I have favorite singing groups, I think my favorite is the Robert Shaw Choir.
Favorite movies: Music of the Heart with Meryl Streep; Big with Tom Hanks; Now and Then with Rita Wilson, Demi Moore, Rosie O’Donnell, and Melanie Griffith; and Fried Green Tomatoes with Kathy Bates and Jessica Tandy.
Favorite TV shows: Full House, 7th Heaven, Who’s the Boss, Bewitched, Get Smart (not on anymore), and While You Were Out.
Favorite foods: Pretzels, Mexican, and Thai
Favorite actor/actresses: Tom Hanks
Describe your personality: Somewhat shy, but a nice person.
What do you look for in a person (in general)?: How receptive they are.
What do you do on your free time?: Read, walk, and hang with my boyfriend and friends.
Where is your favorite place to be?: On top of a mountain, viewing the beauty.
And, your opinion on this community?: I think it is a great place for people to share their talents and get to know others that have these talents.
3. My talents as noted are that I can sing and write poetry. I only have myself on tape and not on a CD so I will have to contribute my poetry for now. Here is my most favorite poem I wrote.
Façade
What's behind the façade, behind the mask we wear,
behind the image, deep down in there.
What really is deep within?
Way past, underneath the skin.
We show ourselves one way, then hide the rest.
What is really the person's quest?
Do they show themselves as Jekyll, but really is Hyde?
You can't decide unless you look inside.
Why do we judge by first look,
like the cover of a book.
Why don't we take time to look deep inside,
for there indeed is where our true being doth lie.
Some thoughts come from the play/musical Jekyll and Hyde. Written in 2001.
