I wanted to ask some of you if you need a certain amount of calories each day to keep your voice strong because lately I haven't been able to project my voice like I used to.

I have never heard of getting a certain amount of calories so a voice will be projected. Voice teachers always told me drink lots of water, take vitamins, try not to eat a lot before you sing, and never drink milk before you sing. That's my tips.

Well, I am not eating like I used to. Sometimes it gets to the point where it's not healthy (depriving myself from food for long periods of time). Maybe I'm not getting the vitamins I need and it's affecting my voice? I know that water helps and I even try to gargle sometimes to see if their is any crap in there.. but that doesn't even really help anymore. I'll try again and see what happens. Maybe I just have to go through old voice lessons we did in Rutger's Children's Choir. I remember them. ^_^

Oh in this case not eating right can affect you because you aren't getting the right amount of vitamins in your body. Are you not taking voice lessons currently? Also about Rutger's Children Choir, do you live in South New Jersey? Rutgers is not that far from my house.

That's probably it then. I am not taking voice lessons currently. And I live in Central New Jersey, but Rutgers is like 15-20 minutes from my house driving. Old Bridge is the town I live in.
