I hope I'm not being biased... but... I have to go with Veigue. He's definitely a BIG BRO type, and can look out for others. He's not clingy and he seems comfortable enough around girls. Realistic, patient, good listener, serious, those are all things I attribute to Veigue!

I totally agree with Regal. He he looks serious and IS serious when he needs to be - but I remember at least a few skits where he was funny, though maybe too subtle for some other characters. And he really reminds me of your either/ors. :) I also think of Yuri for your wanting someone like a big sibling, and he wouldn't be awkward about it. I was also thinking of Judith until you mentioned business over pleasure.

Hate to be a sheep, but Regal really just makes more sense than the other characters I thought of. C:
