[Luckily for Lloyd, there's a Yuan nearby! This guy hasn't seen a Lloyd for over a year. He's also been having some trouble in his jamjar game, so it's good to get a distraction. His approach is a little cautious, because this kid's response to Yuan all depends on his timeline.]

[Where there is a Lloyd, there is a Kratos. Without fail. Of course, having pissed off a couple of post-betrayal Lloyds in his life, he keeps his distance. His swallow-tailed silhouette lingers for a minute before he speaks up from the shadows of a tree.]

[Well Lloyd is not so pissed. Anymore, anyway. He starts a little, and the wood slips out of his hands. That couldn't be--..like an idiot, he starts looking around. But Kratos left for Derris Kharlan..he couldn't--..he always hoped but. There's no way he could mistake that voice!]

[Kratos reveals himself properly. The shafts of sunlight reveal him as he always was, wearing the ridiculously tight navy getup that makes no sense, with an expression that borders on lingering guilt.

He bends slightly and picks up the dropped log, then offers it to Lloyd.]

[There is nothing false about the warmth he can squeeze into one syllable.]

I regret that I can't sail with you this time.

[ He sure ages well... Lloyd seems to be in a state of shock, since he is staring quite mutely at the hand, then at Kratos, then he takes the log, blinking dumbly.]

..How? You--[his brows furrow, as he frowns] ..left.
