Firstly, I would like to say, thanx to Pat and Geo for their input concerning my ideas on Class Evolution. Originally, I had scrapped this idea in exchange for newer classes; Due to recent events, however, there has been a change in plans...Ke Ke Ke
Class eveolutions are an option that is available to all players upon reaching the Character Level of 15. These "secondary" classes are configured to expand players powers and feats beyond that they would normally have, in order to prepare for endgame. Most classes generally have 2 choices, and can make them based upon which skills they enjoy.
For example, The Summoner class has two evolutions: The Daios and Psion-Engineer. The first is geared towards newer summons and actual evolutions (of frightening proportions) of said summons; the latter is going to expand upon building unique summons. (Yes, the player can build them!)
Yea, lotsa fun to be had for the Pirate class of late. Sorry that I;ve spent so much time working on just this, but Seaships and sailing are going to be a big part of Chapters 3-4, and even if Josuke wasn't a pirate, this would be major.
So here we go. For starters, if you still need the guide to Ships, Ship Combat, and Sailing, let me know.
New Weapon: Broadside Gun Emplacements - Can only be fitted onto medium and Large Ships. Contains 4-10 Normal Cannons. This weapon deals 30 damage per cannon, but can only be used every 2-3 rounds of combat, between a certain range, and requires a move action to use. As these are broadside weapons, the helsman must move the ship between 5 and 8 Range of the target, and use the one of the ship's turns to align the broadside of the ship to fire. As long as the enemy ship doesn't move, the guns may fire, and continue firing every 2-3 rounds (depending on the equipped gun). These Weapons require 2-3 Rigging spaces. A cargo hold is also necessary, but not required, as the cannons use one ball each, and packs consist of only 20 Balls. No secondary rigging may be equipped.
