Thank you! I just couldn't resist an Assignment From Irene!

My first draft was very silly indeed; this one ended up being rather touching in its way. I have no doubt there will be more of these to come, exhibiting various emotional states. ;)

This dovetails neatly with Beatrice's general advice on the TREATMENT of ladies to young gentlemen, which is, "Never expose a lady to gossip." Full stop.

I summarize this one as, "Never expose yourself to gossip."

It always ends in tears. And then the drama-bats come.
